Just two hours north of Sacramento, CA off the 5 freeway, you’ll find the REED RIVER RANCH. This gated 4,000 sq ft. ranch home built in 2021 sits on 48 acres with 2300 feet of Sacramento River frontage. This rustic, yet upscale ranch has many different landscapes. The river wraps around the large beach area and there are trails leading through the oak trees where the deer roam. There’s a large private deck just above the river with great views and a nice place for a quiet romantic sunset dinner.
The home has 3 bedrooms: 2 bedrooms each containing Cal/king beds and the third bedroom has 3 queen beds. There is a loft with 2 queen beds, 3 full bathrooms, large kitchen with an island, great room, dining room (table seats 12-14), laundry room, mud locker, and a large rear deck overlooking the pool and river.
The property includes a large red barn, shed, chicken coop, and 20 of the 48 acres are fenced in for cattle/horses. One acre of this beautiful property contains an orchard with 15 fruit trees, 35 almond trees, grape vines, berry bushes and 16 raised garden beds with a variety of vegetables and strawberries. Jasmine and rose bushes surround the perimeter of the orchard where bird feeders hang.
Some of the largest salmon and trout can be caught just off the beach. The boat launch ramp is a 5 minute drive or you can launch right from the beach. A 10 minute boat ride through China Rapids will take you to a pristine Iron Canyon with water flowing from Payne’s Creek and hot springs across the Sacramento river.
Deer turkey roam the property and Bald Eagles can be seen frequently along the beach. The property is equipped with a shooting range for target practice, archery, and skeet shooting.
The REED RIVER RANCH is 10 minutes from the Sacramento River Bend Recreation Area where you can experience numerous hiking, mountain biking, and horse trails. Whiskeytown Lake is only 45 min away with incredible fishing or just relaxing on the beach.
