Film Tehama is part of the Upstate California Film Commission which focuses on attracting and retaining production in our region of Northern California. We actively promote our region to the film and television industry and support local filmmakers.
Navigating an unknown region can have it’s challenges, but that’s what we are here for! We work with both local and out of area filmmakers to find your perfect location, referrals for local cast and crew and other key vendors and are committed to making your experience positive and successful. We are happy to review location inspiration photos and/or scripts and assemble potential locations for your review and we also are available to help coordinate and accompany scouts in the area.
Film Tehama, which is a member of the Upstate California Film Commission, can help connect you with the people, locations, and resources you need to make your production a success. We know this region and the industry professionals who are proud to call it their home. We can help secure room blocks, place casting calls, source location requests, local equipment, and many other of your production needs to complete your project!
Our office is charged with attracting and retaining film and television productions to Tehama County and other counties represented by the Upstate California Film Commission to significantly increase the industry’s economic impact in the region. To that end, we meet with local and out of area filmmakers, here and at key industry events, to assess their needs and determine how they can benefit from the resources, locations, and local incentives offered by producing in our region.
Production in our region has been growing exponentially and we are working to continuing to promote and support local production. Between 2017 and 2021, productions in our region contributed more than $6 million to the local economy. This has come in the way of the industry providing hundreds of job opportunities to local skilled crew and talent, staying in local lodging properties, utilizing local vendors, and many other channels.
